I started this blog in April 2011 to showcase my work as a designer/furniture rehabber/Jewish style maven.
I grew up in Cleveland, graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design and moved to NYC to seek fame and fortune. I didn’t find either but found my husband on the express bus from LaGuardia airport to Manhattan.
We lived in New York for ten years while I worked as an Art Director in magazine publishing. (House Beautiful and Good Housekeeping among others).
We left the city for Connecticut when we decided to start a family. I gave up my previous life as an art director to be home with the kids. Celebrating the Jewish holidays as a family, gave me the inspiration to author and design two books published by Simon & Schuster: Jewish Holiday Style and Jewish Weddings.
Today I am busy with interior design, celebrating Jewish holidays in style and having fun with my grandchildren.
I am often invited to speak at women's groups around the country. I have an entertaining, 40 minute slide presentation on the Jewish Holidays that starts with Rosh Hashanah and goes through the entire Jewish calendar. It gives people many inspirational ideas to make the holidays more festive and beautiful. I am also available for interior design consultations or total room redesign. Please contact me for prices and more information.
