"Trees" for Tu B'Shevat

Next Wednesday evening begins the holiday of Tu B'Shevat...the Jewish New Year for trees. In honor of the holiday I made tree centerpieces to give as gifts for friends.

The branches were cut from trees in the parking lot at Lowe's (always keep a pair of pruners in the car, you never know what and where you'll find things!) I let them dry out for a day or so, then assembled them in some dry foam into pots I bought at Ikea.
The leaves were cut out of colored paper and glued onto the branches with a bit of glue stick.
The tags were created in PicMonkey and printed out on cream colored paper.
Today's temperature here in Connecticut is in the single digits...
but these trees remind me that spring is not that far away!
