Did you know the fifth night of Chanukah is traditionally "gelt night"? This is because the fifth night never falls on Shabbat and since many traditional Jews do not handle money on Shabbat they give gelt to the children on the fifth night.

I asked the teller at my bank for silver dollars...I guess they don't make those any more but instead they have these gold dollar coins which work even better with the gold foil wrapped candy chocolate!
