Ten Desserts Perfect for Rosh HaShanah

If you are entertaining this holiday or bringing dessert, here are ten beautiful and delicious desserts perfect for the Rosh HaShanah holiday table.  You're welcome.

First up is my own Apple Cake...everyone who has made this has raved about how delicious it is!
How gorgeous is this Naked Honey Cake from Chai & Home? Your guests will be impressed.
Such pretty Honeycomb Sugar Cookies from A Beautiful Mess.
Taiglach are small, knotted pastries boiled in a honey syrup, a tradition for Rosh HaShanah —these are from storyofakitchen.
Honey Cake Skewers with Honey Caramel Sauce from the Oh Nuts blog are so chic.
This beautiful trifle shows off the pomegranate, an important symbol of Rosh HaShanah. If you or your hostess is kosher you'll probably want to substitute soy milk and a nondairy whipped topping to enjoy this after a meat meal.
The kids will love these cupcakes decorated like apples from familyholiday.net.
If you're gluten-free like I am these honey cakes from glutenfreecanteen are perfect.

Honeyed Pears in Puff Pastry are so elegant and look like little bee hives!
Or, just forget baking and dip some small apples into caramel with an apple twig for the stick!

  1. Nice round-up. I'm going to do the naked honey cake this year but I've always wanted to make Taiglach. I might try it next year for sure.

    1. I've always wanted to try it too, but since I'm gluten-free I'll probably never get around to making it!
