Pomegranate Placesetting

Here is a perfect place setting idea for your Rosh HaShanah table...name cards simply tucked into the top of a pomegranate.
As you probably know, the pomegranate is an important symbol of Rosh HaShanah--a pomegranate is said to have 613 seeds, which is the number of mitzvot (commandments) in the Torah. We eat pomegranate on Rosh HaShanah to show our hope that we will perform all the mitzvot of the Torah during the coming year.

And, here is the coolest part...
the tops of the fruit form the perfect shape to hold a place card!
The fruit can be cut and eaten during the meal...leftover Pomegranates make beautiful bowl fillers to use through out the season.
