The two girl's share a room...although it has great bones boasting a bay window and fireplace, it's tricky to design. There is only one spot for two beds in the nook under the windows, and it will be a tight squeeze fitting in the twin beds. I have to come up with very slim bed frames that take up as little space as possible and I'll be making upholstered headboards. Each girl will have a reading lamp behind their headboard and a chair for a shared desk. I've been loving coral lately and this room is the perfect place to introduce that color.
You may remember I bought these two Canonball bed frames last spring before they moved into the house. I was going to paint them black and use them for the girls but now that they're in the room the space is just too tight for such large beds...
Lesson learned: Don't buy things for a new house until you're moved in. Luckily, I listed them on Charish and they just sold! It's a great website to use if you are selling vintage pieces of furniture.
Have a great weekend and Shabbat Shalom.
Just read your blog from beginning to end and loved it. Thank you Rita!
