Great coverage on a great blog. Have you seen West Elm's Stikwood product? It is essentially an adhesive wood veneer so even someone without any carpentry skills and do a project like this. I haven't used it myself but it looks gorgeous.http://www.westelm.com/products/stikwood-adhesive-wood-paneling-w815/?
Thanks Dena--I did not know about the Stikwood...great to know!
Hello. Its brilliant! Please tell what color stain and brand did you use. I want to do this on my bedroom wall with same colors
I used Old Master's Wiping stain in a light gray and medium gray. I bought the stain at Sherwin Williams. Good luck!
I love this wall!! I want to do something similar in my family room. Can you tell me what kind of wood you used? I saw you said #10 pine boards on another site but I couldn't find anything called #10 pine boards at Home Depot.
Hi Jodi,Sorry but my carpenter picked up the wood for me so I don't have any more info. for you.:( Please note that I made a BIG mistake and didn't do 6 inches of tile around the fire opening so mine is not up to code. (we don't use it for fires). You can still get this look by tiling around fireplace first and them covering the rest with wood.
