The Best Curried Tuna Salad

Being a "homie", not a "foodie" I don't post recipes very often so when I do you know it's going to be good! This Curried Tuna Salad is a perfect example--I've been making it for years and it's always a hit. It works great on a buffet table, as a light lunch, even a first course.
I love the story behind this recipe: Years ago, our friend Roberta got some take-out Curried Tuna from a restaurant in New York. She loved it so much she "dissected" the salad and actually came up with this recipe.
Friends who say they don't care for canned tuna, love this salad. Try it and see for yourself.

Curried Tuna Salad
1 can tuna in water
1/2 onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 apple, peeled, seeded and chopped
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1/4 cup raisins

Blend all ingredients in a bowl. Mix 1/3 cup of mayonnaise in a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of curry powder and mix well. Toss gently into tuna mixture. Serves two.
