I love the story behind this recipe: Years ago, our friend Roberta got some take-out Curried Tuna from a restaurant in New York. She loved it so much she "dissected" the salad and actually came up with this recipe.

Curried Tuna Salad
1 can tuna in water
1/2 onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 apple, peeled, seeded and chopped
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1/4 cup raisins
Blend all ingredients in a bowl. Mix 1/3 cup of mayonnaise in a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of curry powder and mix well. Toss gently into tuna mixture. Serves two.
Yum! Definitely making this for shabbos (it's just Ephraim and me tomorrow night)! What kind of apple do you usually use?
ReplyDeleteI don't use any kind of special apple--whatever I grab at the supermarket. Hope you guys enjoy it!
