My inspiration for the mantel stemmed from all things spring: bulbs pushing up through the soil, that beautiful, fresh, new green color, birds chirping and flowering trees. So I used all three in my mantel decor.
Nothing a coat of white paint can't fix. The adorable nest is from Michael's.
I love colored glass...green especially.
Although I usually try to use fresh flowers, our trees won't be flowering for another month or so.
I used silk blossoms and hot-glued them to real branches from my yard. By using real branches and stones in the glass container, the blossoms look much more realistic.
