I found this set on Craig's List for $25! Very sturdy, but ho-hum wood. I went to my local lumberyard and asked the guy to cut down all the legs since the grandkids are so young...three and sixteen months old. I wanted them to be able to easily get on and off the chairs themselves.
Before...
The first step, after a light sanding was a coat of white primer to seal everything.
Next, I made the chair cushions from foam and the cute alphabet fabric I showed you in my I (heart) Type post (see below). I don't like to sew very much but this was pretty simple.
A few coats of paint and it's ready to bring over to the kids this week!
